Lots of posts about this, including a sticky up top. The oil pressure sensor is bad. You need to replace it. Do a search and you'll find more postings about this than you care to read.

It is your "OIL SENSER" you'll have to replace it soon! Look here on the forum: (all the info will apply to changing your's)

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1588172

It is not a big deal in taking off the manifold to change it should only take a couple oh hours for a weekend wrencher to do. Check this out

Thanks, Matt

Here's my post on this issue w/ a nice link on how to replace it:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ght=change+oil

Many find that after they replace the oil pressure sensor that it can malfunction again as u will see on the above thread. This has led many to use some tubing to move the sensor next to the fuel rail to make it easier to replace in the future or to do the buick sensor mod listed in post #4 above. See the stick at the top of tech forum threads for more info on relocating the sensor.
I however as u will see by my post mentioned above, went w/ the factory replacement and torqued it to spec w/ a torque wrench to make sure there was no reason it should fail again. So far it's working, but for some other folks it didn't. Hope that helps u and let me know if u need any additional info.

You don't have to sweat it right now! But I would do it when you have a oppurtunity too.

It's always best to be able to see what is going on in the engine VIA the oil pressure gauge.

Thanks,Matt
