Reduced Engine Power
I have a 2001 ZO6 with a Vortech running 9 lbs. of boost. I also have a BBK throttle body. I felt a need to feed it a little speed and took it through the gears getting onto the freeway. I spun the tires and the revs went up too quickly and I hit the rev limiter momentarily. The DIC read service traction control and then reduced engine power. I drove the car home at reduced engine power and then turned the car off and then on again. The engine seemed normal power again, at least it would rev up. The check engine light stayed on, so I reset it. My question is the fact that I had the traction control on when I got on it cause this? If I put it in competition mode would it still cause the PCM to go into reduced engine power? Thanks for any help.
