Battery's Shot
Reason I ask is the dealer will give me a warranty adjustment - I have 5 months left - but I have to tow the car in. I'd rather go with a "better" battery, and just throw it in myself, but if I'm going to have to take the car in anyway, I might as well get the freebie.
Appreciate any help! Thanks.
I replaced the stock battery in my 04Z last year with an Optima Redtop and the only thing that was "amiss" was the clock setting (it was off by about 4 hours; roughly the time that I had the battery disconnected).
Engine fired right up without any glitches (no codes or DIC messages); all of my radio presets and my seat memory settings were intact which I thought was amazing...
Oh, if you have activated the security feature on the factory head unit, you may need to have the security unlock code onhand...I didn't encounter any issues with this since I've never set the security code.

Just have the radio code ready if you have a stock radioTake the dead one back and ask for a better battery
