Default rev limiter?

I am enjoying my recently acquired 2003 anniversary edition roadster. I noticed that it revs to 6000 rpm very fast. So Far I have shifted the 6 speed by then or sooner. If I accidentally wind it tighter does it have a rev limiter?

its not hard to bang the rev limiter when you are auto-x'ing as the engine pulls hard right up to there and you don't notice it. or too busy doing other things.

My limiter is set at 6,800rpm. If you're going to bump it you might as well BUMP IT!

Have you made mods to the engine or just adjusted the limiter. Since the warranty is expiring I do not want to over rev it.

See my sig - many mods to the engine and car in general.

Hi, my name is Jeanluc and yes, I am a modaholic.

A man's just got to have more horsepower.

Yes, but if you miss a shift it won't save you.

Stock cams only pull to about 6200-6400 depending on if it has headers or not.

Missing a shift is only a problem going down and picking the wrong gear. Going up you will bog (or if you never get it in a gear) the rev limiter will still step in

Your 224 cam's power drops off at right at 6000-6100. According to my dyno with the same cam. there's no real reason to have your rev limiter set at 6800. Well actually the only reason would be not to make an additional shift in the quarter mile.

I treat my rev limiter like my wife - I kiss it at least twice a day...
