Default rear end swap!

how hard is it to do a rear end swap and what rear end should i go with????

m6
ms4
heads
headers

im thinking 4.10's because the car is undrivable right now... LOL... or atleast seems that way with the 3.42

ive already done a clutch swap but i dont want to have to take that torque tube down again. can i leave it bolted to the motor?

Gearing a 6 speed depends on a few factors. Mostly being the future torque you will be making with the engine and what the car is used for. Most road coarses the 4.10's are too much and make the track a 4 gear thrack instead of a 3 gear track. For street, drag racing and cruising with a 346 head and cam car the 4.10's are a great choice. You do not have to unbolt the torque tube. Just remove the rear cradle and lower the drive train down to get the rear off. You will have to remove the bolts that hold the tunnel plate to get the drive train low enough to slide the rear off. Its not that hard, if you can do a clutch you can do this..

I have a friend who is going to East Coast Supercharging to get his done. I opted to have DTE build a unit for me from a use differential I picked up as I want to keep my stock unit intact.
