Why is this only offered for 2001 models and newer? I have a '00 and would like to run the SSM. I see a few vendors still have it, but it looks like it was dicontinued. What's the deal?
Have you tried to contact Jim Hall? His number is 262-965-4300
If the SSM is not available for your car, why not get the Stinger? Throw in my CAI mod and you've retained about 10 RWHP that you would've lost during slow-moving, high ambient temp conditions.
I think the only difference with the SSM is the larger filter, which I believe is from their C6 system. When I bought my SSM a year ago, it wasn't listed on the Halltech site. I called Jim and he just sent me their standard air bridge with the larger SSM filter.
Yeah, I know the SSM (Super Size Me) is just a larger filter. My big question is that I only see it offered 2001 and up. Kind of like there is a difference between 1997-2000 and 2001-2004 Stinger kits. I'm just wondering what this difference is?
That I can't answer. Jim is a real nice guy. As Dave68 suggested, give him a call tomorrow.
When I ordered mine, he was out of the red air bridges and I was getting a dyno tune the next week. He sent me a black one and swapped it out for free when he got the red ones in.
