C5 Vs C6 IRS...
Is there a difference between teh C5 and C6 irs...
Could one installl a c6 irs in a c5 and or could you install a c5 diff in a c6. i've noticed some of the parts are the same.

I would bet you could pull off swapping the c-6 A arms/cradle into a c-5
( I think I read Lou Giggliota is running this in one of his cars)But I am not as sure about the diffs interchanging,it would be nice to know if they did though

Second, Yes there have been severl WC C6s that started out as C5 chassies, but rear mounting points, a-arms were changed. Also coil overs were used, vs the leaf spring.
There are several differnt differentials for both the C5 and C6.

ok.. i guess i need to give more information.. I'm not so much interested in the who IRS.. more or less the diff.
i'm thinking about getting a C6 in a year or so... but i'm also wanting a built rear for my c5. so i was thinking if they can be interchanged i'd go all out on a DTE diff and swap them when i get the C6. Assuming this is a possiblity...

the 05's were the same (i believe) but in 06 the diffs were changed, i dont know if they bolt up anymore.
just get it and get another one for the c6 (if or when) you get it.
