At what coolant temp would you consider a problem? (2003 Z06)

On the freeway it should be around 170-190. In town or while idling 200-230 tops. After that I would start checking things

If I remember correctly, the fans don't come on until 228. I ended up buying a Vinci fan switch and set it to come on at 208, off at 201. It only comes on in traffic and with the stock thermostat allows the oil to reach a good temperature.

If it is only heating up sitting in traffic, check for debris in front of the radiator and a/c condensor.

I'd be concerned at 235 degrees or above. Good idea to check the radiator area for debris.

or it might be your thermostat going bad too. You can always get a cooler thermostat and have a tuner just reset your fans. Im running the 160 and sitting in traffic at 85 degrees (for about 20 mins) and it never got over 180. Good Luck

I will do this tonight. I cleaned it once before but I hear its like a big vacume that suck up everything in its path. Maybe its dirty again.
