Ok I just got a 2002 corvette, and I am a girl and im not that smart about cars. for some reason the p0327 code keeps coming on. I am aware that it has to do with the knock sensor, I did at one point accidentally put gas in my car with 87 octane, once i ran it out and put better octane in it the light went out. Now it is going on again with the same code. Is there something im not seeing? thanks. mindy

Do you wash your motor at all, or possibly did the seller? There is a Tech Service Bulletin out on getting water into the sensors and corroding them. They are directly under the intake and water can puddle in there. Could also be a pinched wire. Bill Curlee might be able to give you better insight than I can.
It your consistently get a code for the knock sensors then either the sensor is bad or corroded, or the harness that connects the knock sensor to the main engine harness is chafed behind the intake manifold.
Those are the 2 most common problems associated with the knock sensor code.
now the check engine light went off, so should i just try a different type of gas, or have someone replace the knock sensor?
thanks mindy
Fuel will not cause a fault code for a knock sensor.
If the light went out then don't worry about it, if the light comes back on and it shows the same code have someone look at it. Don't just ask to have the sensor replaced because it may be something other than the sensor.
