I think we have a winner here. The new MAF is likely the issue, swap the stock unit back in and see if the code goes away with it. Your new MAF likely doesn't match the calibration in the computer.
I cant put the old one back in... one of the 3 wire things is broken... somehow... no clue... but car wont run right with it... the one I have in it... has a screen in it... that have anything to dow ith it?
If your car is really running lean, don't let it stay that way very long.
I would not have thought it possible, but a friend's Corvette was running lean, and the exhaust got hot enough at the outlet tip to make the paint bubble and peel off the bumper above the exhaust tip.
On his car, it turned out to be a defective O2 sensor.
it seems to be idling just fine and everything I really dont know how to tell if its running lean... that code only pops up when its really warm out and I have the AC on...
Do you know anyone who has a stock one you can borrow, that would provide a clear indication the MAF is the problem before buying one. As for where to get it if you need one, Gene Culley. You can sell the one you have if that is the problem and recover some of the money. Your other option would be to tune it out.
Should be able to, I think it is just a mis-match between your current MAF and the prior one. Only reason I suggested borrowing one is that it would tell you right away that the MAF is the source of the problem and then you can solve the problem.
There may be a lot of help on the HPTuners web site forum on this too.
