Aftermarket automatic shifter??
does anyone make a shifter that fits the console for an automatic?? i HATE the stock one. it looks okay, but works crappy. there isn't anything wrong with mine, it works just like gm made it. which is why it sucks.

yeah, thats cool and exactly what i'd like to do......without all that work!!! i was hoping that someone made a bolt-in shifter for the vette. bummer.
no, not in any clubs. not enough racing for my tastes. i know a bunch of guys with vettes though.
if you're in sunnyside, i'm right up the street from ya. i'm at fowler and ashlan.

I'd like to try some salomn type stuff. I know the local SCCA and BMW clubs hosts some events. Some at Millerton Lake and some in Atwater on the old air base. I've just been too busy to attend .
I also looked for a replacement shifter. No luck for an easy install. Mine was worn out after 160000 miles. I got a new,(stock), one off ebay and its been good. I see how you feel about shifting manually. Its easy to over shoot your gear.
I used to work at the Vons at ashlan/fowler. Its been a year, but if you noticed a black C5 that was me.
