well I finally checked mine and it wasn't corrosion, the ground on the block was loose. I suppose maybe when the headers were put on the car they took it apart and it worked loose. I fifgured it was something simple, so it wasn't bad gas from kwik trip (sorry to them). A big thnks to wong and Bill, who is correct about the grounds causeing strange problems. Check them 1st might save you some coin.

I found the block ground on the drivers side was loose at the block too. Yahoooooooooooooooooooo! I drove it about 25 miles and no stalling! Ill have to drive the heck out of it cuz sometimes it would go weeks without stalling and smetimes it would stall once a mile. Thanks guys and ill keep everyone up on the final results.

It sure is! I try to post my fixes and finds as they come about too. Hopefully this will help others too. It seems that atleast 3 of us may have got back on track. Ill be taking it to the track when it cools down here. It ran 11.67 @ 118 last year and I think maybe a 11.48 to 11.55 with good conditions. Thanks again everybody! Normand

Since this post was generated, I have had a chance to get my hands on a BAD ignition switch and I took it apart to see how and why they fail. Failed ignition switches seem to cause the car to either turn OFF like you turned the engine off OR cause the GAGE cluster to act weird or reset like it does when you insert the key and turn the car ON. The ignition switch supplies SWITCHED power to a lot of relays and modules so if that contact in the switch is compromised, thats what will fail. The contacts get burnt. When they fail, they will either cause the 12 VDC output to be less than 12 VDC and cause the relays to click and vibrate OR, not put out any voltage.

Heres the link to the post I made on ignition switch repair:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1951626

I have located the correct switch nomenclature in the service manual and will up-date the post to reflect the correct terminal lettering soon and provide pictures of the connectors.
