Default Ported LS6 Heads

Hey Guys,

Anyone running ported LS6 heads with a big cam like the g5x3? Im just looking for a little extra power and I dont want to flycut or anything like that so would just a set of Stg. 1 LS6 heads be a good improvement or could I go with the Stg. 2.5's? I am also referring to the Texas Speed heads and the different stages they have. My current pods are in my sig. and any help is appreciated

Chris

PP LS6 heads are a good choice. any time you can increase the air flow the better.

I think stock they come with 2.02/1.55 valves ? Would I be pushing it if I went with bigger valves like 2.02/1.57 ?

Not really. The PP LS6 heads flow about as best as the LS6 motor can take. YES there are other heads that may flow better, more then 300 cfm at .600 lift @ .5, not sure if the pull of the cylinder can take more the 297 cfm.

Bigger exhuat valves rarely make more power and in many cases make less

So it would be pretty beneficial to my motor to just run a set of PP LS6 heads with stock valves?

TSP sells some PP LS6 heads with the titanium valves and your choice of springs IIRC
