I have a 99 C-5 with 26,000 miles. I recently installed a Vortech S-trim providing about 510RWHP. I now want to change the shocks on this car. I am looking for a combination of ride and support. Can anyone please provide info as what is my best option. Also if you can please provide the estimated cost as well as the best place to purchase them. Thank you!!!

A set of 2002-2003 Z06 shocks ride a little more comfortable than 04 and newer Z06 shocks. They may fit the bill for you.
Oh, and I just happen to have a set of 2002 Z06 shocks listed in the 4-sale section.

I just installed a set of Koni FSD shocks. Unbelievable ride on the street and great performance on the track. I just did 2 days at Watkins Glen and love them. $629.95 shipped from LAPD.

I got Bilstein Sports shipped for around $315 from Lingenfelter a few weeks ago. They ride nice and firm, not too stiff but the car stays glued to the pavement in corners.
I have an 02 ZO6 and installed C6 06 ZO6 shocks.,. Direct bolt in and they give excellent combination of ride and support. There a little bit firmer than the OEM ZO6 shocks and give a better feel in transistions into corners. The significantly improve the feel around wash board corners ane almost eliminate that side stepping feel.
I really like them and highly recommend the,. If you shop around you can find all for for right around $200. Try Gene Cully, Fred Bean and Fitchners.

I tried the Bilsteins and I agree a nice firm ride but compared to the FSD's they are harsh on the street just for cruising. On the track they are basically the same as the FSD's. (Bilsteins feel kind of skitterish on a rough track)
Z06 shocks of any type IMHO don't work well with the coupe's softer springs.
I'm running the FSD's with stock coupe springs and the Pfadt adjustable sway bars set on the stiffest setting in the front and 2 back in the rear. It corners flat and feels like you're on rails but rides very smooth and stable on the street. Basically eliminated the side stepping and wheel hop issues, even with RF tires.
