After driving the car for about an hour or so, the turn signals quit working. then after a while they will start to work again. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
My 99 has the same problem! Have heard on here that its the flasher button thats the problem. Think there is a tread about changing it. Havent done mine yet.
The next time it gives you a problem, try pressing and releasing the emergency flasher button a dozen times or so. That will wipe the contacts clean inside the switch and if the flasher is the problem, it will most of the time fix it.
Mine started out that way too, at first I could mess with the emergency flasher button and the turn signals would work. Then I had to move it more and more. Finally, they quit working all together. So I finally had time to replace it. I documented the whole method here: http://myweb.cableone.net/kd5fx/HSwitch/HSwitch.htm
This is using the 'easy' method where you can do it through the radio hole.

My 2001 is doing the same thing. I can just barely touch the hazzard button and they will come on. Gonna change it very soon, just HATE to tear into my new baby...
