I already have the h/c setup and was wondering if a rocker arm upgrade is feasible. Cam is 228/232 with 571 lift. Comp beehive 918 springs good to .600 lift. Are larger springs necessary and what about valve cover clearance, also will this thing need to get retuned? Any advice is much appreciated.
I wouldnt bother. You'll gain nothing at all except have more money into your car. Stock ones work good. 700+hp and mine are still going strong. 918s are not strong enough to even phaze a stock rocker.
There are more guys than not in the 750+rwhp range, and .600+ lift running stock rockers. Their one of the few things in our motor that are more than adequate. All you will be doing is spending money.

Two things I like about some of the aftermarket rockers, one is the narrower wipe pattern and two is the stiffer rocker arm. Are there other places to get power, yes. I like them because I think in the loooonnnnggg run they will help reduce guide wear, especially with increased spring loads.
The new Scorpion's are supposed to produce a very narrow wipe pattern but I haven't seen any data on them. Also, someone on LS1tech did a back to back dyno with the Yella Terra's and picked up 5 hp. So from a power standpoint, I would base any decision on "I won't get any more hp from these but...."

Hey buddy Thanks for your assistance the other day!
I actually bought some rockers from Jeff that I think would be a good upgrade for anyone using the stock rockers. You could send yours th Harland Sharp and get the old needle bearings removed, and get some new bearings with locking clips put in. The one bad thing about the stock rockers is they will occasionally puke the bearings out, and they get everywhere! The HS mod prevents this, so you don't have to worry about it ever happening!
Dont remind me that I wasted money by selling you my upgraded stockers and bought Yella Terra's. I HATE it when I dont listen to myself and waste money..
