Default Catless Midpipe??????????

Does anyone make a catless mid pipe for the C5. I'm installing an STS kit next week and would like to do away with my cats but retain my factory headers. Any suggestions aside from having a local shop make a custom piece? Thanks everyone??? Joe

Bassanni makes a full length "off road" (i.e., no cats) x-pipe. Combine the C5012 (or C5992 for 99 and earlier models) with the 5797X and you won't have to cut up your original mid-pipe.

While you're at it, you might as well coat or wrap the new pipe to prevent heatloss. Do not wrap the STS supplied pipes, as they are mild steel and will not last very long if wrapped.

Just be prepared for some noise, as an STS setup without cats is loud.

Ditto. Although I only have the fornt x-pipe that replaces the cats. I kept the h-pipe part because I like the bacfire/gurgling sounds on deceleration.
