check engine light is staying on
This is the first time this has happened. I have a cam 224/228/114/595 lt headers, 3200 vig, 315 gears, and Vette Doctors tuning. The car lopes/runs great, but recently I was driving down a street at 45 mph and hit a section of uneven road(series of bumps) and the car stalled out...I started it up and got the check engine light. The car still rides great but the engine light is still on...what could have caused this? I do want to mention that I got on the gas too hard before my tranny shifted to second gear. It bogged alittle, and then shifted with full force and I smelled the tranny burning(or could it be the exhaust?) a short time and now the smell is gone...but the check engine light is still on...it is annoying. should I have it cleared or have it checked out?
