I had mine tuned without but when i pop the hood and watch the motor idel i think it needs a little more air to be happy.

BTW. i've had it tuned for almost a year now.. I'm just thinking maybe i should have drilled that hole...

I've heard of guys having do drill the TB for big cams, but a 228 isn't really all that big, what's your lift?

The hole in TB is an old-skool trick that was used to get cars with big cams to idle before good tuning software existed, and/or before people figured out how to adjust for it.

With today's advanced tuning tools like EFI-Live, HP Tuners, etc, there is no need whatsoever to drill the TB blade.

I'm not sure what difference popping the hood makes...does your car stall out, not want to idle? Or are you just seeing the motor rock back and forth a bit? (it will always do that).

If you are having problems keeping it running, then get it to a good tuner...just because you had it tuned, doesn't mean it's perfect.

I agree with Y2K. My cam makes these monster cams look tame and mine idles perfect. Its all in the tuner and his experience. Good luck.
