I was driving in 101 F weather the coolant temp was 220 F and car was running fine (2001 z06). I stopped for an errand and when I restarted the car it ran rough, dashboard said reduced engine power / traction control/ check engine. The gas pedal didn't work and engine idled about 1500 but rough. I limped back home and let the car cool but in the morning the same thing was happening. I checked the forum and cleaned the ground connections also unplugged the battery cleaned contacts. Still didn't fix it.
I checked the fuses and found the throttle control 15 A fuse blown. Replaced it and car runs fine. Has any one had this happen or know if this is a recurrent problem in hot weather.
Thanks, seemed odd to me as well. I noticed you're in England..my dad is from Bolton but now lives in Malaysia. Anyway, thanks for the info I'll let you know if it happens again.
