What's up Brad. Haven't see ya post in awhile. I'm no expert, but my guess would be about 35-40rwhp. Someone will chime in who knows more than me. I'm presently saving for some AFR's or Trickflows and custom cam set up. Everything depends on what your final goals are. For me, I'm trying to get as close to 500 rwhp naturally aspirated. Hope everythings been well for ya!

I put a set of LS6 (Z06) stock heads on my 98 A4--gained only about 12 rwhp--with a .221 .221 cam w/.567 lift @ 114 --I gained another 32 RWHP so HDS & cam was 44 RWHP---With a stock Z06 cam I don't think you'd gain much HP --- with the LS6 heads and the Z06 cam i would guess only around 25-30 RWHP---I would go with a different cam-- I chose the .221 to pass Calif Emmissions

When doing a heads and cam swap, the labor and tune(most places charge $1500 labor, $500 tune) ends up costing nearly as much as the parts. If you are going to do it, go with something bigger/better than a stock LS6 setup. You can get around 430rwhp with a good set of AFRs or TFs, and a CA smoggable 224ish cam.

Get it done the way you want the first time.
