Today when me and my friend installed my LS6 intake and did the LS6 PCV conversion I noticed that there is alot of carbon and sludge buildup in the intake ports in my heads. My car currently has around 150K miles. Is it a good idea to clean it out with GM Top End Cleaner or Seafoam? Or should I just leave it alone. I have heard the opinion that the cleaner will free the buildup however it could become trapped in oil passages clogging them up causing more serious problems. I took some pictures however it will take awhile to post them up. (Need to find my camera cable )
I would not clean but would buy a catch can from the vendor here, Elite Engineering. It will prevent oil vapor from condensing in the intake, valves, etc.
I use FP-60 and LC-20, both made by Lube Control. It is a two phased approach at controlling carbon. I recently had my intake off and the back of the valves that are hit with the incoming injection of fuel were spotless.

Thanks for your response. My vette had a catch can installed by the previous owner. I never knew it had one until yesterday I found it tucked up and hidden. It had a 50 cent piece sized whole in it, that would probably explain the large amount of debris I found under the intake manifold...(grass etc)
After vacuming that all up the ports still look cruddy. I sure whish I could get some pics up of what exactly.

IF you are concerned, I would switch to a top tier gasoline and add SeaFoam to the next few tanks of gasoline.
I supect you also have carbon bulk up on your valve stems and seats.
That is a milder ( ableit slower) was of decarbonizing the intake
