David,
First of all thanks for the advice on lowering my car. I used the bolts you recommeded at Charlotte Metric Fasteners. The bolts worked perfectly and only $2.34 each! Secondly, I was watching you on speedvison last night and looks like you hit the wall pretty hard. Are you OK partner? When was that race, don't beleive it was live? Lastly, (if you can) would you share some of your cars spec's with us. I'm seriously considering doing some SCCA races next year for fun and want to know what are some of the performance and limitations to this type of racing. Get that beautiful yellow Zo6 back on the track, so I'll have someone local to cheer for!
:chevy
The race was held the same weekend as the Petit LeMans race at Road Atlanta back in early October, tape delayed broadcast. It actually was a double header weekend and the 2nd race will be televised on Speedvision next Friday night, Nov. 9th. As for the crash, they didn't capture what caused it on camera but one of the announcers, Derek Daly, beleives that David got a wheel wrong on one of the corners in the fast downhill esses which upset the car for the next corner and before you know it he's into the wall hard, very sad. David was right there in 11th place and competing with a train of 6 cars, best showing of the season for him.
