Default Here we go again.

My 402's belt started fraying. I went to buy a new one and the numbers for the ls1 and ls2 are the same. So I bout it. Came back to install and it's too big. The tensioner pulley is all the way open and it goes over it. Anyone know what belt I need? I believe the car has an asp harmonic balancer pulley on it. Not sure if that would make a difference or not?

The numbers on the belt appear to be 775k6, I checked on texas speed and they are calling their a/c belt for $20. But it appears they only sell it with the pulley. It's not listed as just the belt for sale. Anyone know where I could find one? Thanks....Sorry about all this. Seems like the more I dig into this car the more I find out. lol.

For a custom application your best bet is just to take the
belt to the store and have them measure it. Most real auto
parts stores will try to match up a belt for you by length
and the width/number of ribs. With the spring tensioner,
as long as it's close (a little shorter is better, as it will
stretch a bit), you should be fine.
