Starting Peculiarity
The car seems to have a peculiarity in terms of starting. When it has stood for a day or so, basically when I start it up the first time, it seems to turn the engine for about a second or two before firing up. So pretty much the first time I start the car, the starter spins a few times before firing. After that starting is instantaneous.
I replaced the plugs and wires a few months ago. Made sure everything is tight. Actually the car shimmies a whole lot less during idle than it used to, so I don’t think that is it. Everything is still stock, except for the battery, which is Optima (less than 6 months old). I drive the car a few times a week, and also charge the battery with an auto charger every few weeks, just to make sure it is all topped up. Any ideas? Not really a problem yet, just wondering.
