Hi folks, have a 98 for a few months - no issues. I know previous owner and had no problems. Anyway, washed car a couple days ago, put directly in garage & a couple days later started and I got a series of codes from "Traction Control" to "Reduced Engine Power" as well as check engine light. Car also went into reduced power mode. I checcked codes tonight and heres what I got (BO-RFA 3 codes U1096H, U1064H & C2115HC; A1-RDCM none; A0-LDCM none; 99-HVAC none; 80-RADIO none, 28-TCS 1 code C1278H; 10-PCM 1 code P1516H; 60-IPC none; 40-BCM none). I ran the codes on computer (didn't start car), and then started and codes were no longer on computer output but the check engine light remains. Also engine power retunred to normal. Any thoughts or advise?? I understand that current codes have a "C" & "H" for history so that leaves the C2115HC as current. What is that code and any advise on how to remedy and clear the check engine light as well? Thanks, dand
Sorry, cant help with the check engine light. I'm sure somebody else would chime in. I've had the same thing happen to me once however I did not have a check engine light and everything returned to normal after I cleared codes and restarted the car.

P1516 is what has caused your check engine light.
read this link to learn how to reset/erase the code and your light should turn off, or you can just drive the car and it will eventually reset since the code is now an "H".
Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\
Thanks for all the replies and advise. I will try suggestions and hopefully code/light will go away and not be an issue in future. I am a bit concerned about why it occurred to begin with but maybe grounding, voltage (battery) and other related items are sensitive to activate codes and then also clear. Thanks again
I just reset the P1516H, as suggested, (with the C2115HC - TPS) and check engine light cleared as well. Car seems to run fine - no current compter notices or active codes. Thanks for the help. Dan
