Need tire help fast!!!
Buddy's front tires are shot! He has factory repro z06 wheels in stock c5 sizes. I have a set of Kumho 275/40/17's that he can use to save him the $$$ but we need to be sure that there won't be clearance issues. This is his daily driver and he is gonna have to borrow a vehicle till tomorrow afternoon so we need to figure out if they'll fit or if he's gonna have to bite the bullet and spend the $$$. Need help quick guys.

This link recomends no larger than a 255 and the tires are two sizes larger than that. I'm sure some guys have done it but i just talked to a guy on the general forum and he says that it's a safety issue (which it very well could be.

Well, according to all the charts it wouldn't have been a good idea to try it. So he went ahead and bought a set for the front. Thanks for the advice guys.
