Installing CAGS this weekend, quick question.........
Do I "HAVE" to take the wire off the neg battery terminal? I don't want to have to reprogram things like FOB synch, stereo security thing, etc. What else would I have to reset or reprogram? In the instructions that came with the CAGS unit it says to do this, but if it will work w/o it then I don't want to do it. Thanks in advance.....

New-B,
I installed mine and did not disconnect the battery and everything works fine. It appears that it would be difficult to "short" anything out because both plug-ins are heavily insulated with plastic.
Re: Installing CAGS this weekend, quick question......... (New-B)
I have installed 2 CAGS bypasses and I did disconnect the battery each time. The only thing I had to reset was the time on the clock. I did not have to do anything with the key fobs or the radio security (although I don't think the radio security feature was turned on to begin with)
