Just an FYI for those who may want to use the Katech setup and MSD coils. I am using spacers that are something like 1/4". I'd have to measure them to be sure. With these spacers the MSD coils clear the Katech brackets and the coils clear my stock hood.

I did the $20.00 Lowes hardware, $75.00 MSD LS1 universal kit, and some coil pack wire extensions from Total Performance for $85.00 and mine are relocated to the inside of the fender wells. I will post some pics tonight.
Does anyone know who else besides Katech (and RPM) that makes these relocation kits?
Katech with only work with THEIR valve covers. And numerous emails, PM's and phone calls to Charlie are going unanswered and I need to get this engine done next week.
I have the GMPP Bowtie valve covers that are in one of these pics. I want to move the coils up top to see them.
Any help will be appreciated.
Had the same issue, couldn't get a hold of anyone. I ended up going the the Moroso 68354 valve covers and Moroso 72395 coil relocation kit.
I'm having the drivers side valve cover modified to include a small custom catch can where the clean air PCV line connects. I'm having them powder coated also, but I'm not sure what color yet. Then I will work out the correct wire lengths and order a set of custom Magnecor wires.
TORCH: Hate to have to EBAY these GMPP covers....All I wanted was a relocation kit---- does the MOROSO kit appear to work only with THEIR covers? And does it put the coils ABOVE the covers not on top like they are from the factory?
Z06PSI--- maybe your LOWES set up can be marketed! Get us PICS.

The Moroso 72395 relocates the coils off of the engine. The only other relocation kit Moroso currently offers is part number 72396. This part number puts the coils on the covers like stock, but slides them back and twists them at an angle. They are hinged for easy coil removal, but they aren't like any of the 'over cover' relocation kits. i.e. Katech or RPM Motors
I did my own custom relocation and mounted the coils behind the battery and the other side in the fender-well, I bought a $110 set of LS1 MSD wires and about $10 in misc parts.

Sorry guys. In all my exuberance getting the car done and off to the tuners I didn't post any pictures. Basically it is 4 threaded rods about 12" long and some 1/2" wide metal rod spacers. Two between each coil. You will see where the rod will go through the coils. Other than some small tabs to be made to mount them to wherever you are going to mount them that is it. Tabs are made out of some aluminum bar stock you can get at Lowes as well. Each tab is a custom piece though depending on where you mount the coils themselves. It is around 20.00 for the parts and around 75 for the wires which you will have to make. The wires are universal ones from MSD and are very easy too make with a vice and some silicon lubricant. I also bought some wiring harness extensions as well with weather pack connectors. Or you can be adventurous and take yours apart from the wiring harness and get some pins from GM and solder your own extensions. The pre-maid extensions were 85.00 from American_HP. All in all I have about 180.00 in this kit and it works like a champ. Here are some quick pics installed.
