Well as my new motor is almost ready to go in. I went to swap my 6k mile Textralia on and low and behold the disc was soaked in brake fluid. I had found the slave cracked on the torque tube side by the fitting, but never had a problem. So now it looks like another clutch is in order
Tally so far
1.) New 416 stroker motor
2.) New trans
3.) Rebuilt diff
4.) New torque tube bushing
5.) New clutch??????
6.) hmmmm wonder is the tires want to blow up now?
You must be made of money. All of those big ticket items!
Nope I'm scrounging parking lots for pennies now:o
See5, I had the clutch partially assembled and sitting off to the side of my garage when the torque tube/tranny/diffwas pulled out last week. When I went to put the flwheel on last night the whole surface of the flwheel and all the clutch pads were soaked in DOT5. It must have accumulated i the pressure plate and gravity did the rest. When I pulled the slae off te torque tube I got a face full of it then
