If you mean Retired GM Engr, he hasn't been online for a few weeks according to his profile. You could leave him a PM...

There are a number of GM engineers, ex- and otherwise, on the forum. Most keep pretty quiet about it.

When they do tell the truth, they just get a lot of flack from people who "know better". Hence why we lost Evil Twin.

"Losing" Evil-Twin was certainly no loss to this forum; just because someone worked at GM as a project manager does not equate to "engineer" in any book I know of; his only claims to fame were the ability to swap thermostats faster than any human could possibly do and knew the difference between the various alternator models.

To extract his great words of wisdom required unbelievable humility on the receiving end; 99% of his posts were chocked-full of smart-azz, condescending responses, to the point where he was finally run off of this forum. I don't care if you are Dave Hill, *anyone* coming off as arrogant and holier-than-thou as ET did would eventually be discounted and summarily dismissed.

I disagree.
Bill (Evil-Twin) was a great resource to this forum.
He was a bit blunt at times but his advice was always correct.

I for one miss him...

There was no doubt that ET was a valuable resource to this forum. His posts could be a little rough on some people. I had PM'ed Bill and he was always willing to help/answer. I personally miss him.

Clearly you're an unbiased observer with no hostility to GM engineers.

He always kept my interest when I first got on the forum, some people need thicker skin around here anyways.

ET was always good for a lively thread - controversial would be an understatement.

I guess some people need to leave their freedom of speech at the door when entering!
