Bad news. It's the condenser coil leaking. The dye showed up there. $$$$$$$$$$$$. Corvette tax. Why doesn't Bush give us a tax cut there, where we need it?

Ouch.
I stopped by my mechanic on the way home. He said the new switch did the trick. I had to leave the car there but I should be able to go get it later tonight or very early tomorrow morning. I hope I don't have the same experience you had - "fixed" for one day then down again.

Hey, have your AC issues been resolved since your last posting in this thread (no new problems)?

No new problems here. Of course I haven't had a need to run the A/C in a couple months now.

When in AUTO mode the A/C button stays lit for about 1 second and then goes out and there is no cold air.
Defroster also does not blow cold air.
Checked the DIC: 99 - HVAC - no codes
Anyone? Anyone?

Back in August when I made this thread it was probably mid 80s to low 90s.
This morning it is about 38.

Auto mode is still working fine nowadays so I'm going to assume that everything is still okay. If it wasn't working properly I'd think that the defrost wouldn't work right but it does.
