Default Help With A Couple Items...

For one I just found this, what seems to be some kind of pressure hose, lying in my engine bay. here's what it looks like... what is it? ....

as I found it in this area...

and does anyone know what this red wire coming out of the fuse box could be used for? want to take it out as it looks goofy....

Top item is your evap surge tube. Goes on driver's side, just above the coil packs, and snaps into a tube coming out of the front of the intake manifold. You should have a big 'ol air leak. The red wire is probably the previous owner's added accessory wire to power some unknown aftermarket thingie. I may have used the wrong terms for this stuff, but generally, it's the gist. GL.

Looks like a short circuit spark show ready to happen. Better check to see if there's voltage on that wire.

ok well i don't see anything in the front of the intake manifold that it could plug into as theres already a hose protruding out the possible spot that you might be mentioning...

were else in that area would it go? ...

Yep, that's the right spot. Should go on the end of that thing that says "Delphi" in your picture. Right end looks unconnected, maybe?

That hose just sits in there kind of floppin' around. Lays on the valve cover.

Your front hose is OK. The "extra" hose you show hooks to the thing marked Delphi and runs along the manifold to hook to another hose at the end of the valve cover, near the PCV valve.

This is where it hooks up at the rear of the eng compartment.
