I'm getting ready to go on a 10 day vacation and am a little paranoid about what condition my battery may be in when I get back. The car is 37 months old with the original battery. Car is a daily driver and rarely goes more than 1 or 2 days without being driven. No issues with the battery to date. Should I even worry about this or should I consider using a battery tender while I'm gone?
For 10 days, you should be OK assuming you've not had battery issues before. You can always disconnect the negative battery cable. You will just have to re-program the radio presets (and maybe won't even have to do that!).
If there is a Harbor Freight store near you, their little battery maintainer works fine and they run around $7-8 when on sale.

As the others here have stated, you should be OK as long as you don't already have a marginal battery to begin with. On a couple occasions I've left mine in the airport parking garage for a week at a time w/o trouble at all. Mine's a red top.
