I'd recomend it even for a daily driver. If you don't mind a very mild "shake" at idle every so offen then i'd say get it. At cruising speeds you can't tell the difference from stock......except when you step on it. :D

I'd like to meet up some time so I can hear the idle. I'm thinking about the hammer for my Hardtop. ;)

Glad you guys are shopping. I'm about to post a group purchase on these MTI cams!

Hammer and T1 are VERY similar cams. Drivability will be the same. Only difference is 0.008" lift, so no change in drivability. Hammer will be a hair harder on the valvetrain, but thats it.

B1 cam passes emissions with catalytics. T1 sometimes passes.

Nineball - if you had a cam with the same lsa (114) of the B1, same lift, but a higher duration (224/224) - would this pass as well as the B1? Just trying to understand these cams..........

Gary,

I'm off Monday (Nov 12th) and have already scheduled a dyno session with Colvin's at 10:00am. If you can stop on by.........if you can't make maybe we can hook up afterwards. LMK

Oliver, each car is somewhat unique when it comes to passing emissions. Some testing centers might also have variances in their test equipment. Alot of variables to consider (cat brand, tuning, etc..)

As a general reply, you should seek lower intake durations and more lobe seperation in order to produce cleaner emissions test results. The B1 cam passes pretty easily with good catalytics on the car, the T1 passes on some cars but not other. Lift generally doesn't change much in terms of emissions testing results.

Thanks

Why is it harder on the valvetrain?? is it the extra bit of lift?

Will the C1 pass emissions? I think I am going to do this cam on this deal with MTI. I also would like opinions on doing the titanium retainers and also switching out the timing chain. Which chain would be recommended? Thanks.

the cam is as tame at idle (900 RPM with custom PCM work) as the stock LS6 cam (although it shakes the car slightly  ) ..... and drives like stock UNTIL.....UNTIL you mash the go pedal .... THEN HANG ON BUDDY !!!!!!!!

I LIKES IT :yesnod: .... hell the T1 is sweet too....and the B1 is killer as well.....but I chose teh hammer and am VERY happy with it :)

thanks
