Ready to do H/C install, am I missing anything?
Heads (w/ gasket install kit, head bolts)
cam
Fast intake and 90mm TB (w/ gasket kit)
timing chain and key
pushrods
cold air intake
throttle body by-pass
t-stat and gasket
MSD plug wires
Things I might add (not sure)
high flow MAF
Shorty headers
3.42 or 3.73 rear diff (undecided on which one to use)
This car must stay CA emissions legal. Head and cam will pass, all parts have been ordered to pass so far, can't do full length headers for this reason.
Please let me know if I am missing anything or need to add anything. Once the car is done it will be driven the short 2 mile drive over to A and A Corvette for a full tune.
*I will also add nitrous somewhere down the road but for now, I am hoping to make 420 rwhp with this set up.
Water pump gaskets
Timing cover gasket
Front Seal
Timing chain may not be needed (we are just finishing an 04, had the LS2 chain in it already)
Redline Assembly Lube
Exhaust gaskets
Two 3/8" rubber vacuum caps to cover PS lines
Two gallons of Dexcool and two gallons distilled water
Oil and filter (for after startup and you put on a few miles)
Tools:
Adjustable pushrod
Make a tool to install the pulley
Don't follow pulley removal precedure on LS1Howto.com, i.e., don't push on the old bolt
ATI crankshaft pin kit
Dial indicator
Just remember to get all the water out of the bolt holes. May want to put in new lifters (caddy racing or LS7) depending on the miles on the motor.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I am still undecided on shorty headers or risk doing full length and pass smog at some point down the road. I just had it smogged 2 months ago when I bought it so I don't think I have to smog it for 4 years or so.
your cam is fine and will work great on the street.
I just did mine a few months ago..so heres my tips as it was my virgin attempt as well
1. buy a new front seal!
2. make sure you clean every spec out of the head bolt holes on the block. use the old bolt trick on LS1howto.com
3. pull the AC along with the radiator so you have ample roon to put in cam
4. be carefull using the RTV on the bottom of the timing cover, make sure its nice and clean and a good bead. not to much or to little
5. buy a new pulley, the stock one sucks *** and wobbles all over. mine works, but it could be better.
6. get Tr55 NGK plugs for the colder rating
7. make sure the sproket and crank line dot to dot!!!
8. DO NOT DROP THE OIL PUMP BOLT IN THE OIL PAN!!!!!
9. just follow tyh instructions on ls1howto.com, you'll be fine. and take your time
EDIT, also, dont waste your time with short headers, get long tubes. It will help the H/C breathe much better

Torque Wrench
I would install the shortys if you have them on hand. You dont wanna install those nice heads and then have to reinstall the stock cast irons.
