I agree, just ordered a roll bar set from them for my vert. I doubt that you want a "cage" set up for your car. A five or six point roll bar set up satisfies most track requirements. I am having mine installed by some one here so I don't have to cut up the car. Neverlift had a nice one which did not require cutting up the waterfall, but they quit selling it as a kit and will only sell it if they install it. ECS makes a nice one, however, the last time I checked it was twice the price of the chrome moly Wolfe set up. Good luck with what ever you choose.
I messaged Chris at ECS last week about their roll bar for verts. He replied that they do have one but since the install leaves almost no room for error they don't really sell it in kit from.. Only if they install it.
I think some of us vert owners should get together and get a group purchase together for a vert roll bar through one of the vendors.
I was just kicked out last week for running a 13.2 at the track when anything under 13.5 requires a roll bar.
I agree with Chris, a vert roll bar needs to be installed locally. I would not send a "kit" out either. Heck, I don't like sending any kits out. This is something that really should be installed by a professional. This, if needed, will save your life. I also do not believe in bolt in cages and would not put one of those in if a customer asked for it, at least not at this time.
do any of them pass the "broomstick test" and allow the top to close?
It depends on how tall you are? I know one guy who had a custom roll bar put in his vert, the top closed AND the roll bar passed the 2" broom stick rule over his helmet. But he as 5-6.

Its not that we dont want to sell it as a kit. Its a pretty difficult install and there is really no room at all for error. It took us a long time and a lot of wasted material to perfect it. The way we look at it is that if you find a good chassis shop that could install this we would consider selling the kit. Its beyond most tuners capability to install this. We know our bar is very expensive and more than some other vendors but there is no comparsion in quality, fit, finish and safety. Some of the other bars we have seen are bolt in and they sandwich the floor. Are you kidding me? there is no structure in the floor of a C5. In a hard roll over that bar would punch right through the floor. We would not even consider bolting in a roll bar in a C5. To my knowledge we are the only shop that has a C5 Vert with a full cage that has been certified by NHRA for 8.50. Here are a few pics of our bar.
