DTC code BO 1016H

I'm having a problem getting my FOB to work on passive. Already changed the battery, tried different FOB, still no passive. Finally check the codes and this is what came up.....
Is there a trouble shooting procedure (flow chart) in the FSM to correct or isolate this problem? I don't have a a manual for a 99.....

Go to Gene Culleys website (fantastic forum vendor!) and down load a FREE owners manual. The Fob has to be trained.

Been there, done that!!!
I have the owners manual and i've done this 3-4 times. Still can't get it to work on passive...

If your code is B1016 it = Loss of Communications with PCM

Nope, that would be a U1016 ... comms codes all start with a "U", while B code is a "BODY" code.

My 2001 Service Manual does not list a B1016 .... please check the code again.

I agree with you on that. On a couple sites though, I have seen it listed as both a U and a B. Below is one site, accurate or not, I can not vouch for it.
