Default Misfire, inconsistent rpm, gas smell.

So I had a misfire recently, new headers was touching a plug wire. Put new one on, everything's fine. Drove maybe 100 miles on it.

Recently left a stop sign aggressively and it starts to spit / stumble again. Figured the wire just came lose or something. Drove home (50miles) in fifth gear to keep the revs up. At home the rear of the car had a noticeable amount of heat coming from it (walking past the rear tires / pipes - not actually feeling the diff).

Switched wires, but still has the rough idle, fluctuating rpm, and a raw fuel smell at the pipes.

Haven't checked codes yet. Wondering if anybody has any thoughts as I was planning on driving it this weekend. What would be causing the fuel smell besides lack of spark?

too much fuel... If you created and exhaust leak before the front 02 sensor it is picking up air from outside which will tell the 02 it is running lean and add fuel.

Pull codes, your answer will be there.

Yeah, an O2 sensor problem would be my guess too. That's what I would check out first. Could be an exhaust leak before or near the sensors or bad o2 sensors. I'd check the harnesses to make sure they aren't burned.
