Default Use Search function?

I have seen some threads regarding this subject and you might try the search function or go to the Car Care section of "General Corvette" Forum. You are looking at using something like Simple Green and a very low pressure garden hose and a towel. There are lots of things near your engine that don't like to get wet.

Mild all surface spray on cleaner and lots of shop towels and elbow grease, but NEVER flush the engine compartment with a garden hose or pressure washer.

If you hose wash the LS1 /LS6 engine you risk flooding the knock sensors out. They sit in a well and have been known to get damaged if the engine id wetted.
