Default Grinding noise

I have a 1998 6-speed coupe. When I idle with the clutch in its OK, but when I apply the gas and let out the clutch I get the grinding. The clutch doesnt seem to go down further than before, I just get the terrible noise. I dont think I can handle the bleeding thing....any suggestions?

My situation doesnt sound as bad as the other posts, but I dont want it to get too bad.

Thanks

So you are either grinding your clutch or the gears? If its the clutch, then its shot. If its the gears, start with a shifter alignment procedure which is pretty easy to do.

Default Hmmmm

I've had my car for 6+ years and no issues with the clutch/drivetrain, can this shifter misalignment just start to act-up?

I only get this terrible sound when I add gas/disengage clutch.

idle (in gear or not) = OK
