Texas Speed Header Questions...
If you own your car long enough,or drive in wet conditions,eventually they will fail.Coating them helps,but they will still deteriorate.
I'm all for saving a buck,but I also HATE doing things twice.AND........ I cannot stand the thought of installing anything that I know is going to rust on my beloved vette,if I can help it. I have had mild steel headers in the past in a fairly mild environment( So.Cal.)and they eventually rusted all they way through( well,enough I could poke my finger through)
If and when they deteriorate,you have lost the value you had gained
I do agree the pricing is good though
Just my .02,and the flip side that maybe some haven't quite thought about
I'm sure many will disagree,but that was my experience in the past.

,Its time to get new SS Headers,I have 1 &3/4 Tpis Lngtbe Hdrs, i have had them for 4 years on the car & the coat is coming off & they are trying to rust,They look Bad **** ,when there new,I am gonna change them out to 1& 7/8 or 2'' stepped Kooks Hdrs when i put the 402 in,The Novi will love me for that Last edited by fsuforever; Nov 2, 2007 at 01:51 PM.
