Installing Long Tube Headers
I just ordered a set of Texas Speed LT's and had some questions about installing them. Can I use the stock catalytic converters? If I can will it restrict the flow of the LT's? Also if I take the catalytic converters off will the check engine light come on? If so how can I turn it off? Thanks

Your cats will not restrict the air flow on LT headers - pre 04 C5 vettes do not have a pre-cat assembly but I am told the C6 does (at least the one we did R&D work with did)
Typically LT headers will have provissions for o2 sensors further down the collector than where they are from the factory so more than likely you will get a CEL.
To rememdy this you will have to go to a repituable tuner (dyno facility) to properly tune the ECU for the new headers
