I had a mechanic replace with a new switch today while he had the car jacked in the air for an oil change. The switch didn't fix it because the reverse lights still aren't coming on. The lights do work with the alarm. What else can I look for? Maybe a faulty switch?
I just noticed a tip for jumping it with a paper clip. What does that mean? Also, I want to make sure that the switch is on the passenger side of the tranny for MN6. Thanks in advance!

I am assuming that the fuses are good since the lights illuminate when I use the keyfob to lock/unlock the doors. I will check the various fuses and micro relays in the morning. Anything else I should check for?
If you suspect the switch, just unplug the connector from the swirch on the tranny and use a wire to connect the two contacts in the harness plug together and the lights should come on. (KEY in ON position)
If they dont, get a meter and see if you have the 12 VDC signal on one of the wires at that connetor.
I deserve a bonehead award! It turned out to be fuse #21 that was blown. When I checked the fuses a couple of weeks ago, I was pulling the wrong fuse out. LOL. I am a bonehead. All is good now. Thanks guys!
