Does hp and tq equivilate?

sheesh......lots of posts for a 20 ft/lbs vs. 20hp question.
simply imo the cars would run the same et and same mph provided the cars were equal other than the numbers. ie gears, weight, trans type and both had traction.
dont need to be an engineer for that one

This thread (and the question) is basically useless without the hp and torque curves. 
Even with both engines curves it's still pretty useless without knowing the gearing and tire diameter both cars are running too.
