Default Catch can on a 99??

Ok, i'm looking into getting an oil catch can for my 99, searched and found a post by CCA, on where to install it....

I looked at my engine today and i dont have that U-shaped hose?!?

Color me confused.......

I believe the U shaped hose is found on later LS6 motors (w/ small orifice quasi "PCV" in the intake), whereas your '99 LS1 probably has an actual PCV in the system...someone will correct me if I'm wrong...
In fact, on that same discussion, scroll down to the drawing and input by Patches for a schematic on how your system might look.

yes exactly what i have, do I put the catch inline with that one hose and leave the check valve thing in place or delete it?

I bought the ELITE ENGINEERING catch can for my '04 Z16. They have installation instructions for everything they sell.
If you intend to buy the C.C.A. can, you might contact Chip and see if he has specific installation instructions.
If he doesn't have the instructions, you can probably use the ELITE ENGINEERING installation instructions from their site...

I bought the Elite Engineering catch can for my 99, and didn't run into any issues. I can snap a shot of mine installed if it would help, but only if you tell me who the chick in your avatar is... Check out the instructions on Elite's website though...
