LS1 and LS6 use identical 75mm 3 bolt throttle bodies.

LS2 uses a 4 bolt 90mm, and you need a different or modified manifold in order to use it.

LS1/LS6, no difference whatsoever in throttle bodies, sorry.

You might be thinking of MAF sensor sizes?

I believe he is reading from the "How to build a Chevy LS1 and LS6/ v-8motor" book. If so, the author is referring to the TB not the MAF, but to the best of my knowledge his sizes in the book are incorrect. I believe the TB for LS1 is 78mm, and the same for the LS6. Not positive though.

I make 428rwhp and use the stock TB. My buddy Mark, makes 736rwhp, stock TB. The stock unit will work just fine. I personally, would spend my money elswhere.

I don't believe a size difference is the big differentiator here. The LS6 MAF has the screen removed, allowing an increase in airflow.

Early (97-00) LS1 3 pin MAF's were 75mm.
ALL 01-04 C5's (LS1/LS6) used 85mm 5 pin MAF sensors, which also incorporated the IAT sensor in it..

The screen was removed only on the on 02/later LS6s.

The LS2 is 90mm, it is a direct bolt on with a Fast 90 intake on a LS1, with wiring of course

Here's my old LS1 throttle body and new LS2 throttle body, and the L76 manifold. LS1 throttle body is 75mm, and the LS2 is 90mm.

Be careful what you wish for. If you don't have significant mods in other areas of your engine, i.e. heads/cam/exhaust, etc your airflow velocity could take a big dump by bolting on a big TB and you could have a dog not only in perfomance overall, but crappy throttle response as well.
