There are seven wires in the DIC switch:
gray-ground
orange-fuel
brown-gauges
white-trip
green-options
red-e/m
blue- reset (It is dark blue)

I actually pulled the connector loose with out removing the ignition switch. But there was no way I was going to reconnect it with the ignition switch in place.

To remove the ignition switch:
Insert key and turn to ON position
Using a small flat blade screwdriver depress and hold the ignition lock cylinder retaining tab. It is located on the RH (passenger) lower side of the ignition switch. Small rectangular opening.
Pull out the ignition lock cylinder
Remove the two small bolts
Drop the switch out of the way.

Sorry Craig, to do what I did you have to remove the center console. I had it out to install a gauge.

Thanks Doug. I've had it out before to put the C6 shifter in so it's no big deal for me to remove it.

I know that this is an old thread but I am looking for the wiring diagram to install a laptrax module. It is the non-deluxe version (unfortunately).

I'll see what I can dig up for you. BTW I have the deluxe version and when we took the dash apart we could not figure out which brown wire to connect to the DIC. I think I know now but really I kind of like the display saying Competition Mode so I know it is ready.
