Any ideas about the best way to clean the electrical connectors on the grounds/fans/active handling unit ect. ect. ect. and should any sealer be used to protect these connectors during reassembly?
Use sandpaper on the terminal lugs and grounding surface around the bolt hole to remove all of the corrosion (white stuff). Then spray the lugs and the ground surface with any good electrical cleaner.
To CLEAN, I usually just do it manually by scraping the metal connectors with a sharp edge, like a single edge razor blade (you'll have to be creative to clean tiny female connectors, but it can be done; try SMALL drill bit scrape and do it manually).
To SEAL, I just use pure Petroleum Jelly. (Heck, just use axle grease if you want to). Wipe off outside when done.
Can't get much cheaper than this, and it works fine.

PS: while you're at it, take your battery out and clean it with baking soda and water, rinse off, let dry; scrape the terminals with a sharp blade, then coat with petroleum jelly (just the top is enough; maybe a little down along the sides from the top), that will END any future corrosion problems at the bat terminals. Great protection for winter too.
