Default Looking to make 400rwhp

I recently bought a 2000 C5 about a week and 1/2 ago and I LOVE it, but I want to push a little more to the rear wheels. I've been reading around on the forums some and I seen I can get close with H/C, headers and exhaust. I already have a full magnalfow exhaust on it, so what combination of H/C and headers would be the best/cheapest way to reach 400rwhp?

AFR205 heads, LG X3 cam, LG LT headers, high flow cats, new CAI.

And a great dyno tune

without an aftermarket intake and stock cats...400 very possible.

Just a little bit of advice. I was in your exact place years ago. Looking for mods to get to 400rwhp. Well take it from me once you get 400 you will want 425....then 450......it happens to us all!

From my experience- Save a little longer and get the BEST! I settled on a few less expensive (ie. heads) parts and fell short of my goals. Now I am in the position where I am thinking of re-doing mods with the parts I should have used in the first place.

I understand budgets! Trust me. But if I had to do it all over again I would have saved a little more and did it ALL right the first time!

Good Luck!!

Dan

Send me about 7K and I give you 500 rw, but you will need a serious clutch.

Before you decide on what size cam , ride and or drive others car first. I wish I would have gone with a a bigger cam , I am making 388 now , but want more cam.... will possible do heads and bigger cam in the future.

Little too much for me. Did I mention I was wanting all motor? Not planning on FI for a good long while.
